A simple toy made from corn husks, rope, and vegetable-tanned leather

Our regular meeting place, the McLean Government Center, has closed for two years for a renovation. Jeanne Nathanson will be hosting the meeting at her house. We will be making homemade bird toys out of corn husks, rope, paper, grass seed sprays, and vegetable tanned leather. All materials will be provided for free. There will be a demonstration of how to make several bird toys. Those who attend can either make those or design some of their own using the materials provided.

We will discuss foraging for wild plants for your birds. For wild plants that are easily found and safe for birds.
